Corvallis Guitar Society Monthly Meeting March 7th 2022

Bringing Local Guitarists Out of the Woodwork

Our next monthly meeting will be on Monday, March 7th, 7:30 – 9:30pm
Venue: Odd Fellows Hall, 223 SW 2nd St, Corvallis
Free & Open to the Public

Our monthly meeting is providing everyone the opportunity to bring their guitars and play! We are going to focus on the Open Guitar Ensemble in which anyone is welcome to participate, and the Open Stage for anyone to play their own music featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

At this point, given Covid 19, we do need to wear masks at the monthly meetings.

The agenda features Open Ensemble and Open Stage:
7:30 – 7:35 pm Welcome
7:35 – 8:30 pm Open Guitar Ensemble: See below for the Guitar Ensemble music – everyone is welcome!
8:30 – 8:40 pm BREAK and Refreshments
8:45 – 9:30 pm Open Stage: beginners, intermediates, and advanced guitarists are all welcome to come and share their music with us.

The pieces for guitar ensemble by Andrew Forrest are free, and open to the public, and the scores/parts are available by clicking on them above. To get the arrangement by Derek Hasted, email me [email protected]. When you look at the pieces, decide which part you wish to play, let me know, and bring the music with you to the Guitar Society meeting.

Entrance is FREE and open to the public (donations gratefully received). Location: Odd Fellows Hall, 223 SW 2nd St, Corvallis, OR 97333. The entrance is between New Morning Bakery and Sedlaks Boots and Shoes.

We are delighted to welcome Yuri Liberzon as our Featured Artist. Yuri is coming to Oregon from California and will be performing in Portland and Corvallis. His performance is free and open to the public here in Corvallis, donations are welcome, and he will be bringing his CD’s for people that want to continue listening to his wonderful guitar music.
