ROGUE PERFORMANCE HALL: 130 East 8th Street, Building C, Medford

Dive into a four-day exploration of guitar techniques, as seven virtuoso teachers lead students in studies of flamenco, Hawaiian slack key, bluegrass flat pick, classical, jazz, blues and rock. Each day will have two 90-minute sessions, each focusing on one genre and one jam session to explore what you learned with your fellow participants. Beginning and Intermediate tracks are available, as well as an All Access Pass, which allows participants to choose classes from either track each day. Also included for all participants is a special class on basic instrument maintenance and repairs, as well as a full faculty panel discussion.

Jamie Stillway – Featured Artist for May Meeting

I am pleased to announce Jamie Stillway will be our featured artist for the Guitar Society meeting which will take place as usual on the first Monday of May, May 2nd from 7:00pm to 9pm at the Lesson Loft at Gracewinds music on 3rd street downtown (please use the rear entrance).

Jamie is an accomplished finger-style guitarist now living in Portland. She is in demand both as a performer and instructor and has received some great reviews:

The Spanish Guitar – From the streets to the concert stage

SPGThe Corvallis Guitar Society presents a fascinating view of the history of the Spanish guitar by tracing its journey from popular folk instrument of the street and parlor to one that regularly graces the stage of the world’s largest concert halls.

The opening night is Friday, April 22 at 7:30pm, followed by another performance Saturday, April 23. Both shows are $18 at the door, $16 for students and seniors.
