Open Guitar Ensemble
Isaac Engel is running the Open Guitar Ensemble in which anyone is welcome to participate.
When you look at the pieces, decide which part you wish to play, and maybe let Isaac know ahead of time – his email is [email protected] and bring the music with you to the Guitar Society meeting.
Here are the Four Pieces of music for the ensemble session:
We will be playing three of the pieces in the Twelve Carrols provided by Andrew Forrest and we will play the fourth piece also by Andrew Forrest called In Dulci Jubilo.
Here is the Twelve Carrols Sheet that contains our three pieces:

Ensemble Scores & Parts
1) We Three Kings of Orient Are
Music https://www.forrestguitarensembles.co.uk/resources/Scores/Quartets/Q0067TwelveCarols.pdf
Notes: This is a very beautiful and easy arrangement.
2) Deck the Halls
Music https://www.forrestguitarensembles.co.uk/resources/Scores/Quartets/Q0067TwelveCarols.pdf
Notes: This piece is trickier than it sounds. Guitar 1 is perhaps the easiest part here, if you’re already familiar with the song.
The Coventry Carol
Music https://www.forrestguitarensembles.co.uk/resources/Scores/Quartets/Q0067TwelveCarols.pdf
Notes: Easy and beautiful. We will play to the end, and then we’ll play the refrain again.
In Dulci Jubilo https://www.forrestguitarensembles.co.uk/resources/Scores/Quartets/Q0061DulciJubilo.pdf
Notes: No practice recording available. This is a quick moving and difficult piece. Guitar 4 is the easiest part, as it stays entirely in the first position. Guitar 2 is the most difficult part because it has no melody content, so if you need a challenge take on Part 2! We will take it slower at first, around 90bpm.
Here are Three Online Recordings of The Ensemble Pieces
You can listen to these on the website, and also practice playing along together with them before coming to the Guitar Society at Odd Fellows 😊

Open Stage
The Open Stage at the Corvallis Guitar Society monthly meeting is available for anyone to play their own music featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced. So, bring your guitar and plan on performing a piece 😊

The Oregon State University Guitar Ensemble dives deep. Presenting repertoire from all over the world and from many historical eras, the ensemble carries audiences into the full range of what the instrument can do. Generally appearing in one of PRAx’s mid-sized spaces – the Toomey Lobby, Ray Theater, or even the Austin|Parrish Arts Plaza – the Guitar Ensemble offers a very special, intimate evening of music.
The ensemble is directed by Dr. Cameron O’Connor, a graduate of the Julliard School and a prize-winning guitarist.
