–  Bravo 😊

Isaac Engel is running the Open Guitar Ensemble in which anyone is welcome to participate. When you look at the pieces, decide which part you wish to play, and maybe let Isaac know ahead of time – his email is [email protected] and bring the music with you to the Guitar Society meeting.

We will be playing three of the pieces by Andrew Forrest, and Our first two pieces are from the Forrest Ensemble Series No. 3:

5. Santa Lucia – Neopolitan Traditional arr. Andrew Forrest
Notes: this is a beautiful and easy piece. Enjoy!

Che Farò Senza Euridice – Christoph Willibald Gluck arr. Andrew Forrest
Score and parts:
https://www.forrestguitarensembles.co.uk/resources/Scores/Quintets/Q0215CheFaro%CC%80SenzaEurydice.pdf
Notes: This fairly difficult piece is for FIVE guitars. Our texture will be slightly thinner, but this will suit the early Classical era of this music very well. Please review the piece and email me at [email protected] ahead of the meeting to coordinate parts, so we don’t leave any out by mistake. Each part has unique opportunities. The melody is found in a higher position in Part 1 and in first position in Part 4. Parts 2 and 3 provide the arpeggios driving the piece forward, and Part 5 provides the foundation of the bassline… but in drop D tuning!
