Our Monthly Meeting at Odd Fellows Hall featured a very good ensemble session led by Isaac Engel, and a great Open Stage session also featuring Isaac and his Fiancé Leah Burleson playing guitar/cello duet.
Then Cameron O’Connor led the OSU Ensemble Featured Artist Concert, and it was WONDERFUL!
Thank you everyone for coming, playing, and enjoying the event. We will now take a break over the summer, and our monthly meetings will start up again on Monday September 12th 2022. Look forward to seeing you then.

Joaquin Gallegos is a Concert Flamenco Guitarist from Santa Fe New Mexico. He is visiting us on June 6th, and is going to play in the Open Stage session
This meeting will start at 7:00pm June 6th (30 minutes early) to facilitate plenty of people performing!

Featured Artist: Cameron O’Conner’s OSU Ensemble The OSU Guitar Ensemble performs a smorgasbord of music for large and small ensembles, featuring premieres of Cameron O’Connor’s arrangements for guitar orchestra and including excerpts from J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion (with vocalist), American and Brazilian folksongs, and a Queen medley. Music for guitar duo, trio, and quartet is also featured (music ranging from Fernando Sor to Joe Hisaishi’s Japanese film soundtracks). There’s something for everyone in this fantastically diverse program!
Open Stage The Open Stage is available for anyone to play their own music featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced. It is also going to include a special guest artist Joaquin Gallegos! Joaquin is a Concert Flamenco Guitarist from Santa Fe New Mexico, and he has concerts in Seattle before coming down and checking out our Society meeting. Open Guitar Ensemble Isaac Engle is running the Open Guitar Ensemble in which anyone is welcome to participate.

One of the most exciting groups on Chicago’s musical scene, FANDANGO! is a toe-tappingly spicy mix of Latin, Spanish, and classical sounds founded by four multi-award-winning, globe-trotting virtuosi who hail from Spain, the USA, former Yugoslavia, and the UK, and who have played, separately and together, on the world’s most prestigious stages. FANDANGO! made its Washington DC début on the illustrious Dumbarton Oaks series, has appeared at Roosevelt University’s Ganz Hall in Chicago, the Bermuda International Festival, and has toured nearly every region of the USA.
