Dear Guitar Enthusiasts,
Here is the music we will be playing in the open ensemble session at the February 4th Guitar Society meeting at Odd Fellows Hall. Everyone is welcome to come and join in! Take a look at the scores and decide which parts you would like to play, print them out, work on them a bit, and bring them along to the meeting with your guitar. Don’t worry about whether you can play everything, just come along and have fun. This is the order in which we will play. Scroll down for more information about the meeting.

Note: the Requinto part can be played as written on a standard guitar with a capo on the 5th fret. Although the Bass part is written in the bass clef, note-wise it’s equivalent to the bass line of guitar part 3 (treble clef), but one octave lower.

Ensemble Music for 2018 Society Meetings & Winter Concert

Here is the ensemble music we will be playing during the Open Group Ensemble session at the upcoming Guitar Society meetings in 2018. Participation in the ensemble is open to everyone, all ages and ability.

Download the music scores and decide which pieces you wish to play. Look at each of the guitar parts for those pieces and print out the  ones you wish to try out, and bring them along with your guitar to the meeting. The parts in each piece offer different levels of performance for players from beginners to advanced.

We will work on these pieces at each Guitar Society Meeting between now and December with the goal of performing them at the first Winter Concert at the Corvallis Benton-County Library on December 15th. You can choose to play in the concert or not – it’s up to you. Either way you are welcome to come along and enjoy playing in the group ensemble at the meetings. It’s all about fun and enjoyment, no pressure, and our goal as a Guitar Society to bring local guitarists out of the woodwork!
