The next Guitar Society Meeting is Monday September 9th 7:30-9:30 PM

Venue: Odd Fellows Hall, Corvallis
Free and Open to the Public
Our Motto: Inspiration and Participation

Our inspiring featured artist for this meeting is the fabulous Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento (one of Berto’s all time favourites!) who plays both six and seven string guitars. Now living in Los Angeles, Fabiano was born into a musical family that goes back to his great-grand-father “Ladario Teixeira”, a virtuoso saxophone player, who contributed to the evolution of the instrument itself by adding more keys to the older “Aldolph Sax” version.  Check out Fabiano’s website for more information about him and his music: https://www.fabianodonascimentomusic.com/videos
And here’s a great solo piece he played at Guitar Salon International: Fabiano do Nascimento GSI

For participation, the September 9th meeting will also include our OPEN GUITAR ENSEMBLE SESSION. We will begin practicing the music we will be performing at the Winter Concert on December 14th at the Corvallis-Benton County Library.  The music is posted below so check out the scores online, download the parts you would like to play and bring them along to the meeting with your guitar and join in! EVERYONE is welcome and the scores include parts suitable for all levels of playing. If you are not sure about performing in the concert, you are still welcome to come along to the meeting and join in with the ensemble.
