The Next Corvallis Guitar Society Meeting is May 6th, 7-9PM

Venue: Odd Fellows Hall, Corvallis

Free & Open to the Public

The featured artist for this meeting will be Pablo Figueroa from Argentina.

His first teacher was his father, Juan Carlos, who encouraged him to follow his path to a music career in the world of guitar. In 1991 at 15 years of age Pablo was awarded first prize in the Rosario Association of Guitar Competition. He then went on tour throughout Argentina, Uruguay, and Italy before settling in Buenos Aires, and, since then, has worked with diverse and recognized artists developing a great versatility in Latin American rhythms. In 2009 Pablo won the gold prize for the best international song in Viña del Mar, Chile. More recently Pablo has composed and recorded an album of contemporary Jazz entitled “Pulsionando” and, in 2018, Pablo performed at the Sao Paulo, Brazil Tango Festival along with local Oregonian guitarist Craig Einhorn.
