This is an exciting month for the Corvallis Guitar Society as we are very pleased to present the show ‘The Spanish Guitar: from the streets to the concert stage’ on Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd at the Majestic Theatre in downtown Corvallis. I am also delighted to announce that Jamie Stillway will be our featured artist for the Guitar Society meeting which will take place as usual on the first Monday of May, May 2nd, from 7:00pm to 9pm at the Lesson Loft at Gracewinds music on 3rd street downtown (please use the rear entrance).
Jamie is an accomplished finger-style guitarist now living in Portland. She is in demand both as a performer and instructor and has received some great reviews:

The last Society meeting on April 4th was a lot of fun with plenty of music on offer. It seems that Fernando Sor’s study in B minor has come from nowhere to suddenly top the charts as something of a themeJ. Some of our younger participants are also beginning to make the rest of us sit up and take notice with some lovely performances by Emmanuel and Caleb. Thank you boys! We look forward to greeting more of you at the next meeting and hearing your music.
